Bonjour à tous,

Comme annoncé c'est la reprise du blog et on commence dans l'action avec le diorama : Dragon Duel.
Si vous vous rappelez de Snowhawk, le dragon blanc en posture d'attaque et bien il retrouve enfin son adversaire : Kirrock.

Kirrock a une posture aussi dynamique que son adversaire, toutefois il semble en position défensive.

En le regardant de plus près, il a tête qui me rappelle fortement le dragon rouge du drapeau gallois.

En voyant les deux ensemble je me dis maintenant qu'un socle de bois laqué ne serait pas du luxe pour mettre d'avantage en valeur ce diorama, ça devrait se trouver :P.

Dragon Flight

Quelques temps après Glimmerscale, je suis parvenue à me procurer une autre pièce majeure de chez Enchantica : le Vol des Dragons.

Comme Jewel, elle a volé depuis l'Australie pour arriver ici.

Les trois dragons de cette pièce sont semblables, ce sont des "dragons de neige" en train de survoler un chaîne de montagne. Ils s'assemblent sur le socle via des tiges en plastique. Une pièce très fragile donc mais de toute beauté.

• Dragon Flight - EN2370

The snowdragons, Jonquil wearily observed, seemed incapable of flying straight or level.
They loved to weave about the sky, banking and swooping from one rising gust to the next; soaring and stooping like great hawks commanding the wind.
The carriers, who were being employed as beasts of burden, slowed them down (much to the faster dragon’s frustration).
After racing on ahead and piercing the clouds like white arrows, the snowdragons would have to break into wide circles to allow the slower dragons to catch up.

Juredu

Bonjour à tous,

Gros arrivage cette semaine avec 3 dragons d'un coup. Pour commencer voilà un Enchantica qui présente un air de déjà vu : Juredu.

Sa ressemblance avec Jabel est évidente, il s'agit du même sculpteur. Craig Davison a une patte caractéristique.

Sa posture est intéressante et assez originale puisqu'il est en train de voler, ça peut paraître anodin mais les poses de vol sont rares. Très délicates à sculpter il faut dire. Le décor est particulièrement soigné.

• Juredu_Swift Judgement - EN2259

The cold winter’s wind took my breath as I walked the final steps that would eventually lead to my end.
The elders, who knew only of this place, sang incantations and spells to awake Juredu, my executioner.
My crimes, I admit, were beyond reason or forgiveness, yet from an early age I had been raised a warrior, trained to kill, to defeat my enemies and to crush the weak.
When the wars died and peace reigned, I became surplus to requirements a proud and noble warrior now just rags, eating scraps, a target for scorn.
My hunger became my demise it made me do things too horrible just to survive until I was caught and bound in these rusty chains.
Now my judgement awaits upon this lonely point, bound upon an ancient stone, its surface marked with the dead.
The screams of Juredu, bringer of justice, grow nearer as I hang my head, turn my back to the biting wind and let my defences down…

Sallonj, deuxième voleur

Bonjour à tous,

Et voilà le second voleur de trésor : Sallonj.

Arrivé un peu plus tard que prévu dû à un petit soucis chez le vendeur mais au final tout s'est réglé sans problème).

Le duo de voleurs est formé et ils ont été rangés à côté de Glimmerscale avec lequel j'ai fais quelques photos.

Amlousym, premier voleur

Bonjour à tous,

Voilà le 1er dragon d'un duo de voleurs de trésor. Un petit dragon rayé jaune-orangé du nom de Amlousyn. C'est une édition libre.

Il forme un diorama au côté de Glimmerscale avec son compère (ou rival) Sallonj, dont le billet va suivre très prochainement.

Sa taille est à peine plus grande que d'un Bookwyrm, un véritable nain donc aux côtés de Glimmerscale :D. Je ferai la photo de famille une fois les 3 réunis.

Glimmerscale

Bonjour à tous,

Aujourd'hui une imposante pièce de la collection Enchantica me rejoint. Je ne pensais pas l'avoir dans les mains un jour, il s'agit de Glimmerscale (littéralement "écailles luisantes").

Un dragon bleu violacé très massif, perché sur une montagne de trésors et de pièces. La représentation classique d'un dragon occidental.

La statue est vraiment imposante et bénéficie d'être livrée avec un socle de présentation en bois laqué. Il faut savoir que seules une poignée de pièces chez Enchantica sont livrées ainsi.

À savoir également que Glimmerscale n'est pas seul, il constitue un diorama avec deux petits dragons qui tentent de lui voler son trésor. Ils arriveront très bientôt, gardez l’œil ;).

• Glimmerscale - EN2357

If there was one thing that guaranteed to cause normally peacable dragons to quarrel like avaricious children, it is gold and jewels.
As soon as the treasure was discovered the strongest and most powerfull beasts waded in and claimed as much of the sparkling wealth for themselves as they could feasibly defend.
One such dragon was Urlfang, later to be called Glimmerscale by the nomads and cliff top settlers, and the steady stream of adventurers who came to the ruined city to try for a share of the dragon’s hoard.
So large and heavy was the dragon and so long did he remain on guard in the bowels of the ruined tower, that a second skin of princely treasure became permanently attached to his underside.
This meant that when he rose out of the dishevelled turret and reared his formidable shape before the tremblling figures that had dared his wrath, his whole trunk sparkled and shone with a priceless coat.
The effect by torch light in the dead of night was spectacular; the soaring torso of treasure glittering before their naked flames like the evening sun on a breeze kissed river.
Before very long the reputation of the dragon they learned to call Glimmerscale began to spread far and wide.

Xedrethor

Bonjour à tous,

Voilà un gros dragon qui n'a pas eu de chance et a enchainé les casses... Xedrethor de Enchantica.

Remporté aux enchères, c'était un dragon d'occasion en bon état et plutôt bien conservé à l'exception des cristaux du socle un peu réduits mais ça, il faut le savoir car la nouvelle découpe improvisée ne change pas la forme des cristaux, ils sont juste plus courts par rapport au modèle d'origine.
Là où il y a eu un gros soucis c'est le transport car il est tout bonnement arrivé en miettes : les 2 cornes arrachées avec la résine qui a volé en éclats, les griffes de l'aile droite amputées, 2 pointes dorsales cassées et la queue a fini en 3 morceaux... un véritable massacre.

Si la plupart des cassures ont été réparées sans problème, je suis plus embêtée sur les cornes car il manque des morceaux de résine... et impossible de recoller des miettes. J'ai remis au mieux avec une peu de peinture noire pour dissimuler les trous mais il va falloir que j'achète une pâte spécial pour consolider les brèches. Je m'en suis pas trop mal tirée pour le moment je trouve. De toute manière je ne pouvais pas faire autrement et je l'aime comme il l'est.
Il sera complétement réparé plus tard lorsqu'au j'aurai le matériel.

Bonjour à tous,

Aujourd'hui un achat très intéressant et bon pour mon porte-feuille : une pièce rare d'Enchantica mise en vente avec la queue cassée en 3 parties. Le vendeur a accepté de me la céder à moitié prix.

Voici Snowhawk, un dragon blanc en pleine posture d'attaque au-dessus d'une forêt de conifères.
Il forme un diorama nommé 'Dragon Duel' avec Kirrock, une autre figurine que je cherche à me procurer. J'espère pouvoir réunir les duelistes prochainement.

En tout cas, même seul ce dragon a beaucoup de classe.

Karaxus

Bonjour à tous,

Mon 52ème dragon et 16ème Enchantica est arrivé ce matin, voici Karaxus.

Son histoire relate qu'il a été fait prisonnier par la sorcière Melidan pour ses écailles aux pouvoirs remarquables. Brillantes comme de l'argent, elles servaient à la préparation de remèdes et d'enchantements.

La pauvre créature demeurait enfermée dans une pièce du château de la sorcière. Jusqu'à aujourd'hui.

• Karaxus - EN2380

The beast of myth and rumour was the rarest of creatures : a dragon with powers of enchantment, Its skin was reputed to shine in the sun like precious argent, and at certain times to shed scales of real silver.
Scales of Karaxus were said to possess remarkable powers.
If one was used to make a vessel in which a medicine was prepared then that remedial draught became enchanted panacea to cure all ills.
A beauty cream applied as a mask with a scale spatula transformed the face of the subject into one of great loveliness.
A mail shirt of layered silver scales rendered the wearer impregnable to injury, be they set upon by sword, lance, arrow or even dragon fire.
Little wonder then that the scales of Karaxus were valued highly.
The silver dragon was said to be the slave of an evil old sorceress called Melidan, who kept the noble creature prisoner in a high tower in a far off lonely valley.
Melidan kept the dragon hostage so that she alone could have possession of its precious gifts; and charge a high price to those who had need or were desirous of the silver scales' inique powers.
Melidan's castle clung precariously to the sheer, craggy face of a high cliff.
It was a small cluster of crumbling towers the largest of which had at its base a great arch sealed with a strong web of iron bars. Imprisoned in the chamber within was the Silver Dragon..

Jewel Dragon

Bonjour à tous,

Aujourd'hui un voyageur qui nous vient tout droit d'Australie :D. Voici la pièce annuelle de 1999 de Enchantica : le dragon aux joyaux.

Né en Angleterre, ce dragon a fait le tour du monde... Fort heureusement, il est arrivé sans encombre dans mon antre et il n'est pas près de repartir.

• Jewel Dragon - EN2135

Closely related to the Sky Dancers, the Jewel Dragons were a fabulous breed of creatures, used by the holy men of Eyesand to celebrate the “fruits” of the mountains.
These colourful dragons would be adorned with gold and precious stones, and fly in the special thanksgiving ceremonies.
Dazzling aerial displays would accompany the lighting of great beacons and the sound of mighty trumpets.
Over a delighted throng the dragons would swoop and soar, their ornamental wings sparkling in the light of the dancing flames.

Ocean Dragon et Saalemnok

Bonjour à tous,

Un double arrivage draconique aujourd'hui.

Deux dragons de la collection Enchantica et qui n'ont rien à voir : Ocean dragon, sorti en 1996 et sculptée par Andrew Bill, et Saalemnok, sorti en 2002 et sculptée par Rob Simpson.

Le premier est un comme son nom l'indique un dragon marin et le deuxième un redoutable gardien d'une épée de légende, l'épée de Saalemnok.

Gremba's Trophy

Aujourd'hui une pièce promotionnelle de 2007 chez Enchantica et du coup très récente.

Elle est plutôt morbide mais ce dragon a une tête qui me plaît ;).

Voici le loyal gardien du roi goblin Gremba : le dragon Kronnok.

• Gremba's Trophy - EN3029

The mountains of the North are the homelands to the fearful hoards of Goblins ruled by their mighty king, Gremba.
Within the heart of these mountains a macabre relic stands.
Carved from ancient stone and primitively painted, a head of a dragon altar lies within the cavern pools of Grembas royal chambers.
Lit only by torches, it's base littered with the trophies of the dead, slain elves, humans and dwarves by Gremba's own hand, a marque so revered within Goblin society that none would ever question, or rise to take his throne for fear of his skill with the double blades.
However, Gremba's darker side also reveals a temperament totally unknown within the Goblin culture.
A cave dragon known 'affectionately' as Kronnok, a goblin slang term meaning guardian, reared by his own hand, this orphan dragon became Gremba's loyal Associate, keeping guard of his royal chambers and keeping his enemies at bay.
A dark, menacing beast, it's hide covered in dark, smooth scales.
Its red eyes, so piercing, can see deeply into the darkened depths of the caverns.
Wings of shimmering black leather cast an eerie shadow within the trophy walls.
A menacing threat to all but Gremba, King to the Wolves of the North.

Aphellion

Bonjour à tous,

Un dragon Enchantica que je recherchais depuis un moment, voici Aphellion, la pièce annuelle de 2004.

Elle représente la résurrection d'un dragon depuis un portail magique, sous les rayons de la Lune.

J'aime beaucoup l'élégance de cette pièce.

• Aphellion - EN2375

The night was filled with a scented breeze.
The ancient portal of Aphellion, ringed with mighty stone dragons of Eyesand, started to glow and pulse with the colours of the night.
Crude silhouettes stabbed the inky gloomness, as the moons rays slowly passed through the many alignments, seemingly to pause upon the smoking aperture.
The time of Aphellion was near and the resurrection of the sacred flame would once more alight this sacred, magical place.
Spires of twisted smoke, rose slowly from beneath, highlighted plumes of purple and greens somehow gave life to this ghostly snake.
Without pause its shape grew, ethereal wings opened to a ghostly dragon of light.
From its throne it surveyed the onlooking congregation, pausing for one moment to seek solace.
A dragon made from the stars, a bringer of light, whose very soul had been carved from the stars.
Laments and chants soothed the beast and from its mouth came the whitest of flame bathing the surroundings in a warm glow.
The dragon stretched its wings, seemingly bade farewell to the onlookers and rose majestically into the sky to return to its brethren.
A pure white flame, ringed by the Stone Dragons remained, the time of Aphellion had arrived once more.

Halos

Bonjour à tous,

J'aime quand les mises en scène sont soignées et c'est le cas de Halos. La pièce annuelle de 2006 chez Enchantica.

Un dragon bleu et jaune profitant d'une fontaine. L'eau est merveilleusement rendue et comme Vansal, l'effet aqueux peut en tromper plus d'un.

La pièce est extrêmement lourde et ça m'a beaucoup surprise en le déballant, il n'est pas juste fait de résine comme les autres. Son poids se rapproche d'un Windstone, peut-être est-ce le même matériau.

Bloodhorn

Bonjour à tous,

Il m'arrive d'acheter des dragons d'occasion quand ils sont trop rares et difficiles à dénicher. C'est le cas pour celui d'aujourd'hui, voici Bloodhorn.

Il porte son nom à merveille puisqu'il a d'impressionnantes cornes (rappelant un taureau) et des écailles rouge sang.

Ici pas d'exemplaire en nombre limité, c'est une pièce dite annuelle, sa production est sur l'année et Bloodhorn était le dragon annuel de 2002.

Ce dragon écarlate est arrivé avec la corne et l'aile droite abîmées. Je me suis occupée de recoller tout ça et je suis plutôt fière du résultat.

Jabel

Bonjour à tous,

Nouvelle pièce de chez Enchantica : la sentinelle, Jabel.

Il pose fièrement sur une tête de pierre d'un confrère.

Le sculpteur n'est pas Rob Simpson auquel je suis habituée mais Craig Davison. Jabel a un physique un peu différent de l'accoutumé et personnellement j'aime beaucoup son apparence.

Yellow shafts of dying sunlight pierce the evening sky, casting an eerie orange yet ghostly glow amongst the forgotten ruins of a once mighty City.
Jabel, mighty dragon of the proclaimed sentinel caste, views all his land.
Climbing to a high point, this noble beast perches upon the remains of a forgotten ancestor, its golden adornments and stones now stripped of its brilliance, revealing just a cold hard stone a mere shadow of its past glory.
Jabel draws out his wings, arches his neck and calls out to the dancing silhouettes of his brothers and sisters, its echo finding the many crevasses of the ruins and inner city.
He settles down upon his sleeping guardian and lets the night slowly cloak him in a deep velvet darkness.

Un nouvel arrivant un peu particulier aujourd'hui car il est arrivé pile pour mon anniversaire :D.

Voici Anemoss, le roi de Paladris. C'est un "dragon de paradis" haut en couleurs et qui m'a fait la surprise et la joie de porter le numéro 19, mon jour de naissance <3. Je ne pouvais pas rêver mieux.

• Anemoss - EN3011

The Southern Western plains of Dragongorge have always held a particular interest to the scribes, especially Pethrill, and adventurers of Enchantica.
For it is here that the Great Observer himself, Danskamere, had spent many years recording and studying the great and wondrous Dragons of Paradise, his works described the Great Dragon Pia-Sharn, a mighty creature of such wondrous colour and yet within his journals another, yet, more fascinating description was to be revealed.
It was the mighty Anemoss.
“As the light of the sun reached its highest the valley was filled with the call of another, Pia’Sharn had began to move, as if in reverence to another, higher beast.
From behind the forest line a wondrous spectacle started to take place.
For rising upon its thick tail was Anemoss, its wings began to unfold, the suns rays danced upon its magnificent scales, hues of purple and blues filled the air, its huge bulk, now fully lifted from the floor, shone with a brilliance of colour I had never seen, words could not describe the magnitude of this beast and all who watched, bowed their heads in great respect.
Anemoss reared back his horned head and called far beyond the mountainous peaks of the North.
The king of the Paladris had arrived and none could ever equal…

Elemental Dragons : Air, Fire, Water, Earth

Bonjour à tous,

Une série de dragons aujourd'hui avec ces 4 pièces d'Enchantica représentant des dragons élémentaires : Talshnagran le dragon de l'air, Feuerdrak le dragon de feu, Terra'Kral le dragon de terre et Morgrannh le dragon de l'eau.

Ils sont tous montés sur un piédestal rappelant leur éléments et sont perchés sur une orbe de couleur associée.

Au départ, Air et Feu étaient les seuls réalisés, il a fallu attendre quelques années pour avoir les deux autres. À noter que Air et Feu sont limités à 1950 exemplaires et Terre et Eau à 950 exemplaires.

Asgenar's Hoard

Bonjour à tous,

Je vous présente mon premier dragon de la collection anglaise Enchantica qui réalise des statuettes de dragons et de magiciens en résine, toutes sculptées et peintes à la main.
L'univers d'Enchantica possède sa propre mythologie et histoire, chaque pièce est accompagné d'un petit bout d'histoire relatant les faits de la scène mise en avant.

Ici un dragon noir gardant l'entrée du trésor perdu du elfe roi Asgenar.

Le socle représente de la lave et il est translucide pour pouvoir être éclairé.

Those foolish to cross would encounter a sentinel of fearsome might, dressed in the blackest of scale and eyes that shine in the darkest of shadows enough even to frighten the bravest of warriors that would flee before its presence.
